The Michelin Building

A history and guide to a classic building written by Wendy Hitchmough and published to celebrate its reopening in 1987. The Michelin Building, designed by Francois Epinasse, was opened in London in 1911 and anticipated Art Deco. But its style was unique and heavily influenced by the tyre company's 'Michelin Man' symbol.
